Privacy Policy

The short version: your check-ins are between you and your partner. We don't sell your data, we don't show ads, and we only collect what's needed to make Attune work.

Who we are

Attune: Couples Check-In ("Attune", "we") is built by HG Mobile Apps, an independent developer based in Romania. For anything privacy-related, contact support@helloattune.app.

What we collect on this website

• Waitlist and therapist-access email. If you join the waitlist, we store your email address to let you know when Attune launches and to send your promo code. If you request therapist access, we use the professional email you provide to verify eligibility, arrange access, and send launch-related information relevant to that access. These addresses are never sold or rented.
• Web check-in answers. If you try the web check-in, your chosen answers and any written response are stored under a random link token so the reveal can work. They're not connected to a name or account. Anyone with the link can view a revealed check-in, so share your link only with your partner.
• Notification emails. If you ask to be emailed when your partner answers, or to receive your results, we use that address for that one email - plus launch updates only if you ticked the box.
• Analytics. We use Google Analytics (via Google Tag Manager) and the Pinterest tag to understand how visitors find and use the site - pages viewed, buttons clicked, and the traffic source. This uses cookies and processes your IP address. We never send your email address, your answers, or anything you write to analytics.
• Server logs. Like almost every website, our server records IP addresses to prevent abuse. These are routinely rotated.

What the app collects

When the Attune app launches, this policy also covers it:

• Account. Your email address and sign-in credentials, handled by Firebase Authentication (a Google service).
• Your content. Check-ins, notes, shared lists, milestones, and photo memories you add are stored in Google Firebase (Firestore and Cloud Storage) so they can sync between you and your partner. The mutual-reveal rule is enforced on our servers: your partner cannot read your current answer before submitting their own.
• Push notifications. A device token (via Firebase Cloud Messaging) so we can deliver notifications you've enabled.
• Purchases. Subscriptions are processed by Apple or Google. We receive your subscription status only - never your card or payment details.

What we never do

• We never sell or rent your data.
• We never show ads or share your data with advertisers.
• We never read or use your check-ins, notes, or photos for anything other than showing them to you and your partner.

Who we share data with

Only the service providers needed to run Attune: Google (Firebase hosting of app data, Analytics), Apple and Google (payments and app distribution), Pinterest (website analytics tag), and our website hosting provider. Each processes data on our instructions. We may also disclose information if the law genuinely requires it.

How long we keep data, and how to delete it

• App account: delete it anytime in the app (Settings → Delete Account). This permanently removes your profile, your couple's shared data, and uploaded photos. You can also email us to request deletion.
• Waitlist email: kept until launch outreach is complete, or removed anytime on request.
• Web check-ins: stored so links keep working; email us with your link and we'll delete it.

Your rights

If you're in the EU/EEA (or anywhere, honestly), you can ask us to access, correct, export, or erase your personal data by emailing support@helloattune.app. EU residents can also lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority.

Children

Attune is made for adults in relationships and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
